Fraser Higgs
Group CEO

Fraser Higgs founded First Option Healthcare with a vision to provide exceptional nurse-led homecare, no matter how complex the clinical need. Under his visionary leadership, the organisation has consistently upheld the highest standards, offering outstanding care and support to both children and adults, while providing peace of mind to their families.

An ambitious entrepreneur, Fraser boasts an impressive track record of founding and leading successful companies across various sectors. His passion for improving lives inspired him to establish First Option Healthcare in 2015. Since then, he has expanded the organisation into a broader group that also includes First Option Clinical Education.

Becky Dobson
Chief Nursing Officer/ Group COO

Becky is responsible for the clinical governance and quality of First Option Healthcare. She oversees the Clinical Team, HR department and provides support to the management team.
Becky has been a registered nurse for 24 years, having worked in ICU, district nursing, palliative care and community complex care. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in Senior Leadership in Healthcare.

Lyndsey Page
Group Partnership Director

Lyndsey Page ensures the smooth and efficient management of relationships at First Option Healthcare. Lyndsey oversees interactions with ICBs and families, ensuring that new care packages are mobilised or transitioned swiftly, with all necessary resources allocated. She also ensures that existing care packages are managed to the highest standard.

Lyndsey brings a wealth of experience to her role from her background in senior recruitment positions and managing her own business. Her expertise spans sales, operations, and service delivery, making her exceptionally skilled at coordinating complex care needs.

Nik Barnes
Group Service Director

Nik oversees the service offered on all care packages at First Option Healthcare, with a particular focus on managing relationships with ICBs and families that require additional support. His department provides an open line of communication, stepping in when day-to-day contacts need extra assistance.

Before joining First Option Healthcare, Nik spent over 20 years in the publishing industry, specialising in sales and advertising for several national newspapers. This background equipped him with a broad range of skills in people management and service delivery.

Kim Hetherington
Chief Nursing Officer | COO

Kim is a vital force behind the day-to-day operations at First Option Healthcare. Kim oversees all aspects of the company’s financial systems, including payroll, credit control, financial reporting, and insurance.

Joining First Option Healthcare in 2015, Kim brought a wealth of experience from her previous financial roles in the utilities and construction sectors.

“I enjoy problem-solving and continuously implementing new processes to enhance efficiency. Without robust financial systems in place, we would not be able to deliver the services we do and provide care for families in need.”

Danny Griffiths
Group IT Director

Danny Griffiths is the technical expert behind the seamless operations at First Option Healthcare. Every day, he ensures that all systems and processes are functioning smoothly and are fully compliant with technical and regulatory requirements. Danny also serves as the Data Protection Officer, ensuring that all information is stored and distributed securely, safeguarding the privacy of sensitive data.

Before joining First Option Healthcare, Danny held several senior IT positions in various sectors including investment banking, law, and insurance.
