Educational & Activity Support
Tailored educational and activity support to progress your child’s learning and development – and to encourage social connections – no matter the healthcare challenges they face.

Healthcare provision to support living life
Living well is about so much more than the care needed for our physical or mental health. But these challenges can take their toll on a child’s learning progress and community participation. This in turn can lead to a loss of hope or increased isolation.
Whether as a dedicated educational and activity support package, or as part of a wider healthcare plan, First Option Healthcare has a fully trained team on hand to ensure that your child can live as fully as possible in every area, including their educational development and social connections.
We factor in any physical needs, learning disabilities or mental health challenges – as well as undertaking full risk assessments to ensure that your child is safe.
We work with both the child and the parent / guardian to follow the child’s interests and support any desired activities.

An expert and individualised approach
First Option is a healthcare provider with our own specialist training division. Our leadership team has over 75+ years of clinical experience between them, we are a leading provider in both paediatric healthcare training and provision.
Our specialist team of carers and nurses provide educational and activity support packages for children and young people. We recognise that every child has specific strengths, aspirations, and difficulties. We identify these aspects to create a bespoke plan, which is continually reviewed and revised as needed along with support from the child or young persons special educational needs worker.
We provide:
- In-setting learning support – Assisted educational provision at school, college or in the home.
- Activity facilitation – physical activities or excursions appropriate to your child’s preference, age and healthcare needs
- Healthcare personnel – For higher risk healthcare conditions, we can facilitate school attendance by having highly trained staff on hand to deal with any medical emergencies
